Oscar Marquis
Mr. Marquis is the longest serving General Counsel of TransUnion, one of the three nationwide consumer reporting agencies. Since leaving Trans Union, he has provided legal advice to a variety of companies that are in the consumer information and credit reporting industries. Mr. Marquis also serves as an expert in lawsuits involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
After leaving TransUnion, he was Counsel to the law firm of Hunton & Williams (now, Hunton Andrews Kurth) and helped develop the firm's privacy practice. He subsequently joined the law firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair as a partner. After the firm dissolved he opened his own law firm specializing in privacy and consumer reporting matters.
Currently, Mr. Marquis provides consulting services to companies tha deal with consumer information and helps them navigate best practices in the fast developing industry.
